St.Sebastian’s  Higher  Secondary  school   founded  in  1924, is a co-educational  institution managed by  St.Sebastian’s  Forane  church Kuttikad. The school   commenced  its  educational  activities  at lower primary  level  with  50 students  and  2  teachers. Rev.Fr.Varghese  Pulikkal  was  the  first  manager  and  Sri.Poulose  Pottokkaran  was  the  first  Head  Master. The  school  was  raised  to  the  status  of  upper  primary  school in 1956. The long  cherished  dream  of  the  people  was  fulfilled  when  it  raised  to  the  status  of  high  school  in  1966.

The school became the glittering star among other educational institutions when it raised to the status of higher secondary school in 2000. Rt.Rev. Dr. James pazhayattil, Bishop of Irinjalakuda inaugurated the Higher Secondary course in the presence of Sri.P.J. Joseph, Former education minister and Rev. Fr.Joseph Thekkethala, the former corporate manager, Rev.Fr. Thomas Menachery was the first manager and Sri.C.O.Varghese, Sri. K.D.Devassy, Sri.V.A.Jose, Sri.E.Biju Antony, Rev.Fr.Francis Kodiyan and Smt.Recty K.D headed the institution in the following years. The school has been creating excellent academic result throughout these years.
